Bottleneck guitar is played on a conventional guitar, with two differences:
- You slip a slide known as a bottleneck over one finger of your fretboard hand (fingers one and three seem most popular but two and even four get used by some players).
- You generally use an open tuning. Ah! What luck, just the things we're after...
