The semistrunka gitara or simply semistrunka (Russian семиструнка meaning seven string) is a seven-string Russian guitar.

 

Tunings

Standard tuning is open G:

  • D' - G' - B - D - g -  b - d'

 

Gypsy tuning:

  • D' - G' - C - D - g -  b - d'

 

Open G minor:

  • D' - G' - C - D - g - b flat - d'
