The banduria or bandurria is a steel-stringed, twelve-stringed instrument, part lute and part guitar, in six double courses A version used in the Philippines has fourteen strings, while the baroque version had ten gut strings. Nylon string versions also still exist. There are varieties of banduria by the names of laud, Cuban laud, laudón, tenor lute and bass lute.
